Hi, I'm Dr. Keely Taylor

I know this story all too well because I’ve lived it myself. And I’m here to tell you: there is hope. 

My own chronic pain journey began when I was just a teenager. 

Having grown up in Georgia, I was the rebellious, free-spirited type of kid who played hard. Your typical tomboy. I also started riding horses competitively at the young age of 11 years old.  

Unfortunately, going all out as a kid, paired with a stressful home life gave my pain a chance to thrive. The pain was absolutely awful, and I assumed it was all physical. I found myself in my early 20s waking up screaming in the middle of the night, because the pain was so bad. It often felt like my own connective tissue was ripping itself apart.

Despite being a massage therapist and helping others navigate their physical pain through specialized bodywork modalities, it seemed like nothing I did could provide me with the lasting pain relief I so desperately craved…

Feeling failed by doctors and Western medicine, I eventually realized I was stuck in a Chronic Pain Cycle.

Desperately wanting to break free...

While being in so much pain on a consistent basis, I became the classic case of: “If you say this is going to work, I’m in.”

So I tried it all… Pharmaceuticals, a plethora of doctor visits and specialists, insurance-approved PT, massage therapy, stretching and yoga, cold therapy, hypnosis, EMDR. 

And yet, despite all of these tools providing some temporary relief, it was often cannabis and pills that somehow seemed to be the most effective and reliable. 

Slowly but surely, my toolbox expanded. And although I’d love to tell you I was magically cured of pain overnight, and that I found the magic solution - that wasn’t the case. 

My search for answers took YEARS. During my time as a bodyworker, I started learning about the myofascial system and the Mind-Body which brought a lot of clarity and relief to my pain journey.   This search for answers even led me to become a doctor of Chinese medicine, where I learned about the meridian system and its correlation to the myofascial system and the connection between the emotional body and the physical body.

Finally, in the winter of 2020, for the first time in at least 28 years, I was able to gain FREEDOM from the pain that had kept me stuck, and feeling isolated for over three quarters of my life.

Today, it’s my mission to help you take control of your pain, get your life back, and stop being a prisoner to your condition, so you can…
